JUST RIGHT BLINDS–St Charles–to Show Hunter Douglas Blinds and Shutters at St. Charles Home Show Oct. 5–6

Get exceptional room darkening by adding the LightLock side channel system to Hunter Douglas insulating Duette Honeycomb blinds.

Just Right Blinds & Shutters, a Hunter Douglas window fashions dealer, will show the latest styles of blinds, shutters, and draperies Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 from 10 AM to 5 PM at Pheasant Run Resort Mega Center in St. Charles, IL.

Show attendees enjoy home style tips and trends, fresh ideas, expert advice and creative solutions for a wide variety of homeowner decorating and remodeling projects.

Just Right Blinds is currently offering rebates starting at $100 from Hunter Douglas on Silhouette, Vignette and Pirouette shadings, Duette honeycomb blinds, Sonnette cellular roller shades and Luminette sheers.

Fall is an ideal time to consider adding insulating Hunter Douglas Duette honeycomb blinds. Their unique cell configuration “traps” air between layers, insulating against heat buildup in summer and heat loss in winter.

For extra room darkening, customers can add the LightLock side channel system to Duette blinds with ¾-inch fabric. LightLock blends seamlessly into the window frame and is ideal for bedrooms, children’s rooms and media rooms.

All Hunter Douglas products are backed by a lifetime limited guarantee.

Show hours are Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Free parking.  Pheasant Run Resort Mega Center is located at 4051 E. Main Street in St. Charles, 60174.

Just Right Blinds & Shutters Offers Blinds to Reduce Heat from Skylights

Block summer heat from a bedroom skylight with a Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shade.

Skylights give your rooms a brighter, more open and airy feeling beyond what standard windows can offer. Skylights, however, have the potential to let sunlight overheat your rooms in summer and allow heat to escape in winter. What can you do?

Just Right Blinds & Shutters has skylight shades from Hunter Douglas that will help you stay comfortable this summer and all year round. Here are tips on how to choose the right style of skylight shade:

Choose for location

If your skylights are in areas that get a lot of sun—especially bedrooms or media rooms—you might want to consider skylight shades with a room-darkening or blackout fabric. If they're in rooms like kitchens or bathrooms that don't require complete darkness, choose a light-filtering fabric that will bring in natural light while still blocking harsh rays.

Choose for energy efficiency & sound absorption

Cellular shades like Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades, are one of the most popular skylight window treatments because their cellular design provides a layer of insulation at the window.

For even more energy efficiency, there's a honeycomb-within-a-honeycomb shade called Duette® Architella® that features more layers of fabric and insulating air pockets. Considering how much sun might be coming through your skylights and the fact that up to 50% of a home's heating and cooling energy can be lost through your windows, Duette Architella shades can be a worthwhile investment.

The extra layer of insulation from Duette or Duette Architella can also help absorb unwanted sounds from the outside, another benefit for a bedroom or media room.

Choose for the operating system

Skylight blinds and shades are hard to reach, so you need an operating system made specially for them. With Hunter Douglas, it's easy to find.  For example, Duette and Duette Architella honeycomb shades are available with a Skylift™ system that lets you control your shades either manually with a hand crank or telescoping pole for hard-to-reach skylight windows, or automatically with the PowerView® Motorization system.

Choose to blend with your decor

Hunter Douglas blinds are a great choice for skylight windows because you can select from such a wide range of styles, colors and textures to fit any décor, from traditional to contemporary. There’s a choice available that’s sure to suit your needs.

Keep in mind that since skylights are often focal points of a room, you'll want a skylight window covering that doesn't detract from the décor, but adds to the overall style.

For more information about Hunter Douglas window treatments for skylights, contact Todd Zimmerman, Just Right Blinds & Shutters, Direct: 630.292.3756, tz@JustRightBlinds.com, www.JustRightBlinds.com.
