A
Hunter Douglas customer had a penthouse with floor-to-ceiling glass, including
the upper atrium window. The sun warmed
the condo so much in winter it didn’t need heat and in the summer the AC ran 24
hours a day. To better manage
temperature six Duette Architella Elan blinds were installed with UltraGlide
shades on the lower windows and six SkyLift with PowerRise 2.1 blinds on the
upper windows. The homeowner was
thrilled with the elegant appearance and the immediate improvement in the
condo’s ambient temperature. There was a
25 degree temperature change when the blinds were lowered. Todd

trap air, creating added insulation against outside temperature and noise.”
