Discover Hunter Douglas Green

For over 60 years, Hunter Douglas has been creating and offering natural and appealing ways to harness heat and light. In the winter, heat leaves through the window when you need it, yet becomes trapped inside in the summer when you don't. Heat loss and gain drive our energy usage up. It can be felt in our monthly utility bills and calculated in our collective carbon emissions.

Today, Hunter Douglas is committed to lowering our energy usage and implementing other changes that will ultimately reduce our carbon footprint by 20%. Our overriding goal, though, is to help our customers everywhere save energy the natural way by effectively channeling and exploiting the natural power of the sun.

How do I find room-darkening shades without losing my view? What cordless blind options are there to keep my child safe? Are there blinds that will help insulate my windows year ‘round?

Adding the Duolite option to a Silhouette Window Shading combines a light-diffusing shade with a room-darkening one, letting you enjoy privacy plus your view in one shade.

Just Right Blinds has answers to these questions and more, thanks to Hunter Douglas window fashions. We’re ready to provide you a free in-home consultation that considers all of your window treatment questions. To help start the process, here are answers to three of the major questions we hear from our customers:
Question 1: How do I add a room-darkening option without losing my view?
Duolite is a dual-opacity option that integrates a light-diffusing shade with a room-darkening one. It’s available on Silhouette Window Shadings, Duette Honeycomb and Vignette 6-inch flat fold rolling style shades. Another option is top-down/bottom-up style, which lets you lower a shade from the top down, raise from the bottom up or any combination in between. Top-down/bottom-up is offered with Duette Honeycomb, Solera, Vignette stacking style and Provenance Woven Woods.
Question 2: I have young childrencan I get cordless options?
For sure! Hunter Douglas has completely cordless motorized options including PowerView and SoftTouch, as well as other cordless operating systems such as LiteRise and SimpleLift. Wand controls are also available as well as Vertiglide, a cordless choice for sliding glass or French doors.
Question 3: Are there blinds available to improve the energy efficiency in my home?
Great question! A high quality insulating window treatment keeps warmth inside during winter and the sun’s heat out in summer so you can enjoy year ‘round comfort without higher utility bills. Options from Hunter Douglas include the Duette Architella honeycomb shade, with a patented cell within a cell design that traps air and prevents it from escaping through a window. The Architella Trielle shade features five insulating pockets and is the most highly rated Hunter Douglas shade for energy efficiency. Sonnette Cellular Roller Shades are another excellent insulating option.
