Discover Hunter Douglas Green

For over 60 years, Hunter Douglas has been creating and offering natural and appealing ways to harness heat and light. In the winter, heat leaves through the window when you need it, yet becomes trapped inside in the summer when you don't. Heat loss and gain drive our energy usage up. It can be felt in our monthly utility bills and calculated in our collective carbon emissions.

Today, Hunter Douglas is committed to lowering our energy usage and implementing other changes that will ultimately reduce our carbon footprint by 20%. Our overriding goal, though, is to help our customers everywhere save energy the natural way by effectively channeling and exploiting the natural power of the sun.

How to Buy Faux Wood Blinds

Homeowners purchase window blinds to provide privacy or to control undesirable glare from the sun.  As the innovator in home window treatments, Hunter Douglas has transformed the basic window blind into an exciting selection of styles, colors and features that will enhance your home’s décor.

Today’s faux wood blinds by Hunter Douglas are anything but ordinary.  A popular alternative to wood blinds is the Everwood collection, a faux wood blind constructed from PVC free material which is GREENGUARD indoor air quality certified meaning there is no off gassing.  They are sun - proof to resist fading, yellowing, warping or discoloring from the sun.  They are also heat resistant to withstand higher temperatures and maintain their shape better than other brands.  The Everwood Collection is guaranteed against fading, yellowing, warping or bowing – or they will be replaced at no charge by Hunter Douglas.

Wood blinds are a versatile element in window treatments. Not only do they provide optimum light control, but they can be used with other window treatments, such as drapes. Custom blinds should not be made from pressed wood.

Consider the options available. Custom Faux wood blinds offer a greater variety of color. Other options include decorative tapes, choice of valance profile and cordless blinds. Cordless blinds are raised and lowered by pushing up or pulling down the bottom rail.

For inside mounts, the manufacturer will make the width of the blind shorter than your measurement. This allows room for the brackets for installation of the blind. There may be approximately a gap to each side of the blind after installation on an inside mount.
